Workshop information 3
In this workshop, we will share experiences in round-table interdisciplinary discussions, in order to:
assess how delayed admissions from remote areas modify the risk of infection
assess and try to reduce the risk of MDR/XDR emergence
consider organizational measures to reduce the risk of MDR/XDR cross-transmission, including burn unit design, workflow organization or cohorting;
set best practice for the prevention & treatment of colonization/infection in burned patients
discuss routine prevention protocols, such as catheter care or personal protective equipment
analyze and define antibiotic strategies, with a special focus on failing 1st line treatment
integrate non-antibiotic and innovative approaches in our practice
