Information for the registered EMSB students

On September 3^rd, an email containing practical information about the EMSB Course and the manual was sent. If you have not received this email, please check your spam folder. Or contact the secretariat by registrations@congresscare.com.

The course will be given in English. You are expected to read the manual (sent via email on September 3^rd) at least twice before the start of the course. The knowledge level of the course is such that you must have studied this manual.

Emergency Management of Severe Burns (EMSB)

Prior to the EBA Educational Course, the one-day EMSB course will be organized on Wednesday, 16 October 2024. The EMSB course is for physicians and nurses involved in acute burn treatment.

The course is an intensive one-day training and will be held in English. The instructors have both extensive clinical and teaching experience in the field of burns and emergency care.

Outline of the course:

A reference manual outlining all aspects of the emergency management of burns is sent to the participants prior to the course
There is a series of brief lectures highlighting important aspects of the atiology, pathophysiology, emergency examination, and treatment of the patient
Relevant clinical skills are demonstrated, and essential topics are explained in group discussions
Life-like case simulations in hands-on workshops are used to consolidate and integrate the course material
The course concludes with an assessment and a written examination.

Start time: 9:00 AM (CET)
End time: ±6:00 PM
Your presence is required between 8:30 and 8:55 AM.

Registration for this course is limited to 25 participants.
Included in the fee are the course manual, certificate, lunch, and refreshments. The manual will be sent by email a few weeks before the EMSB course starts.
